How to respond to THOUGHTS when your mood is low
Some thoughts on THOUGHTS
There comes a time, when we feel low
And multiple thoughts comes in your mind, which makes your mood worse
So, As you have read the title we are gonna talk about how you can respond to your thoughts.
I used the word respond not control.
Because once you get to know how to respond to them, you wouldn’t need to control them.
You can distract yourself from your thoughts by using social media or scrolling
But these are short term solutions, not long term
It’s like ignoring your thoughts, not responding to them.
So, let’s talk about some long term solution —which is to respond them
Metacognition —process that allow us to step back from our thoughts and see them from a distance, process to notice and observe your thoughts and respond to those thoughts.
Your respond could be, Pass any thought or pause any thought for sometime.
You can cultivate that by practicing:
Mindfulness —it is a tool which helps to notice your thoughts and choose not to stick to it —It helps where to focus your attention on.
It helps us to grow our mental muscle. As it grows, your ability ‘where to focus your attention’ grows.
By doing this we are allowing all thoughts to be present, but choosing which ones to give our time and attention to.
See you on next Sunday :)
